HaMakom Religious School
What is HaMakom?
HaMakom means The Place and it is the place to be on Sundays and Tuesdays.
Educate Jewish youth.
Foster Jewish identity, culture and community.
Inspire youth to lead life as a mensch.
Create an environment where youth choose to be.
Energize Jewish education, making it vital for parents and youth.
Inspire and empower our youth to use their knowledge at home, at Temple and in their communities.
In Hebrew, HaMakom means “The Place”. At Temple Beth Am, it is the place to learn, grow, and experience our continuum of formal and informal education from Kindergarten – 12th grade.
HaMakom at Temple Beth Am approaches Jewish education in an exploratory and creative atmosphere. We blend the formal avenue of classrooms instruction with informal education where students can explore their Judaism in a variety of ways.
By putting the students’ learning in the hands, teachers create active learners who enhance the classroom experience. The secret to our success is keeping the lessons fresh so students remain engaged, and look forward to their time together.
