Overview

Religious School at Temple Beth Am approaches Jewish education in an exploratory and creative atmosphere. We blend the formal avenue of classroom instruction with informal education where students can explore their Judaism in a variety of ways.

By putting the students' learning in their hands, teachers create active learners who enhance the classroom experience. The secret to our success is keeping the lessons fresh so students remain engaged, and look forward to their time together.

Sunday mornings begin with Mifkad Boker (Morning Wake-up) at 9:30 am. All students meet in the social hall for interactive songs that bring an energetic spirit for the day.

On Sundays, camp-inspired specials will complement what students are learning in the classroom; such as art, cooking, Israeli dance, sports (i.e. Krav Maga & Yoga/Mindfulness), drama, and multimedia. Students will also experience music and Tefillah on alternating Sundays and Tuesdays.

Family Shabbat Experience

Family Shabbat Experience is for all families and students in Kindergarten – 6th grade. Prior to a family-friendly service, there will be a learning component for both students and their parents that will bring engaging discussion that can be continued in the home and among peers. In consideration of our families' many obligations and an effort to remove obstacles to attendance, there will be no school on the Sundays following the Family Shabbat Experience.
