Yes, I want to get involved!

Welcome to Temple Beth Am, a caring community of action and engagement.

If there are any questions, please feel free to email us at tba@templebetham.com with "volunteer" in the subject line, or call us at 561-747-1109. KULANU is Hebrew for "All of us Together."  Thank you for being part of KULANU and our Temple Beth Am community.

Volunteer Opportunities

New Member Welcome. It’s nice to know someone in the crowd when you’re a newbie. If you’re the friendly sort, we’ll put you in touch with a new(ish) Temple member so you can meet up at a Temple Service or program and help them get to know us.

Time commitment: When you're available.

Friday Night Drivers. Can you pick up/drop off a fellow member when you come to Friday night Shabbat Services at Temple?  We’ll try to match up drivers and riders from the same community.  This is a real mitzvah and is especially helpful for our congregants who cannot drive at night.

Time commitment: When you’re available.

Shabbat Service Greeters. Help us greet and welcome everyone on Friday nights.

Caring Community - you may also visit our scheduling page directly at LotsaHelpingHands to sign-up for volunteer opportunities. We are listed as community #703044. Temple Beth Am Caring Community volunteers help provide:  meals to congregants who are in need, rides to Services, rides to doctor appointments, visits and calls to the sick or home-bound, and Shiva calls.

Time commitment: Varies.

Family Promise. Help Temple Beth Am support this amazing national organization.  Family Promise helps temporarily homeless families in Palm Beach County get back on their feet.   If you have a generous heart for those who are suffering an unexpected setback, and anywhere from an hour to an evening to spend, this is a wonderful opportunity to provide a much-appreciated helping hand. Help with shopping and laundry also needed.

Time commitment: Varied shifts available.

Pizza Sales.  We all know that a hungry child doesn't learn very well.  Help us nourish the bodies of our Religious School students before we nourish their souls by selling pizza and healthy snacks in the Social Hall. You can volunteer for as many or as few days as you would like.  No experience required.
Time commitment: Tuesdays, 4:30 – 5:00, mid-September through May.

St. George's Soup Kitchen. Cooking & serving at St. George's Soup Kitchen in Riviera Beach.
Time commitment:  the 3rd Monday of the month at St George Church.

Photographers. Are you a shutterbug?  Do you come to programs and events at the Temple?  While you’re here, why not snap a picture or two and share them with the congregation via our Facebook Group and Page?

Time commitment: While you’re already here!

Community Garden. Have a green thumb? Or just love the smell of the earth and getting your hands dirty?  Our new community garden (behind the TBA school wing) needs lots of tender loving care.

Time commitment: Varies.
